Needs and Wants

 

I collect and am interested in trading for (or purchasing) the following items:

 

Winchester Model 94 Commemoratives

 

I would like to purchase both rifles produced in 1985:  1985 Boy Scouts of America .22” Long Rifle caliber and 1985 Eagle Scout .22” Long Rifle caliber.

 

Boy Scout Councils (Insignia, Camps, Activities, etc.)

 

Interested in all items including council insignia, camp and activity patches, district insignia and activity patches, back patches, neckerchiefs, jamboree contingent items, and all other related items from the Central, North Central, and Northeast Missouri area especially the Salisbury/Chariton County area.  This area is currently Great Rivers Council #653 (1951-present), but items may be identified by one of its predecessor councils, Adair County (second class council) (1926-’28), Central District #653 (1924-’25), Central Missouri Area #653 (1925-’51), Cole County #305 (1923-’29), Cole County #314 (1931-’31), Columbia (second class) (1917-’19), Jefferson City (second class) (1917-’19), Jefferson City Area #314 (1931-’36), Kirksville #307S (second class) (1920-’25), Lake of the Ozarks #314 (1936-’71), Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad #754 (1926-’30), Missouri Pacific Extension Railroad #688 (1924-’26), Moberly (second class) (1921-’25), Northeast Missouri #307 (1925-’27), Pershing #740 (1928-’30), Pettis County #310 (1922-’28), Sedalia #310 (1917-’22), Sedalia Area #310 (1929-’33), or Tom Sawyer Area #307 (1928-’37), as listed in Councils of the BSA, Third Edition, 1995, by Patrick Geary; or under one of their camps, Hohn Scout Camp/Hohn Scout Reservation/Camp Hohn, Lake of the Ozarks Reservation, Camp Maries, Camp Oko-Tipi, Camp Pa-He-Tsi, or Camp Thunderbird as listed in The Camp Book: A Listing of BSA Camps, August 1993, by Dave Minnihan, et al.

 

Specific needs:  Councils Great Rivers, council patch (3" round; green c/e; red twill right; yellow “GREAT RIVERS COUNCIL/MISSOURI” lettering; and green design) (see figure 1 above); Chariton Valley District, hand-painted six-inch leather back patch (circa 1984); and 1981 JSP (I have an extensive collection of council and district activity patches with many duplicates from the mid-1970’s to the present–please write or call me–I am missing several.) and Lake of the Ozarks, Red and White Strip, council patch (3" square with rounded corners; dark green r/e; orange twill (?); yellow “LAKE/OF THE OZARKS/COUNCIL/B.S.A.” lettering and fdl; and green design), and Camps Great Rivers Council Camper, (3½" × 4" rectangle with rounded top; red c/e; white twill left; red “GREAT RIVERS COUNCIL/CAMPER” lettering and fdl; and brown, green, and light blue design of a boy fishing on a river in the foreground and a steamboat in the background) for years: “1” (upgrade), “3” (upgrade), and “4” (upgrade); Hohn Scout Camp/Hohn Scout Reservation/Camp Hohn, all items; Pa-He-Tsi, all items; and Thunderbird, N/C (green, red, and black, brown, or maroon silk-screened on white) and all hat-shaped patches.  Please note—I am always looking for duplicates on many items–especially older ones.

 

Order of the Arrow Lodges, Areas, and Sections

 

Interested in all items including activity patches, back patches, neckerchiefs, and all other related items from the following Order of the Arrow Lodges, Metab #216 (1941-’71), Po-E-Mo #426 (1950-’71), and Nampa-Tsi #216 (1972-present); Areas Q (1942-’43, approximately), V (1944-’47, approximately), 8A (1948-’54, approximately), and 8B (1955-’72, approximately); and Sections NC-3B (1973-’78), NC-5 (1979-’92), and C-6 (1993-present).

 

Specific needs:  Lodges Nampa-Tsi #216, S3 (upgrade), S8 [S9] (upgrade), X2 (upgrade), J1, and N1 [not listed]; Metab #216, F2 (upgrade), J1 (cb) [J1a] (upgrade), and N1 [N1 (from Nampa-Tsi #216)] (may have been issued only sewn with R1–upgrade), and Po-E-Mo #426, R2b [R2a], N1 [N2]; and N2 [not listed] as listed in Arapaho II – Update, 1997 and, if different, The Blue Book enclosed in brackets (“[” and “]”), as corrected with Regions 8 & 10 Errors and Addenda, May 12, 1997; Area 8B, (1955 N/C, ’56 patch, ’57 N/C, ’58 N/C, and ’61 N/C); and Sections NC-3B, (1973-’78, both issues), NC-5 (1979-’92, items other than pocket patches), and C-6 (1993, items other than pocket patch, and ’94-present) as listed in Order of the Arrow Conclave Handbook.  Please note—I am always looking for duplicates on many items–especially older ones.

 

Duplicates

 

For the most part my duplicates change too often to even try to list.  However, I currently have several CSP’s:  Circle Ten (#571) S-13; Great Rivers (#653) T-3d; Greater St. Louis Area (#314) S-1 and S-2; Jayhawk Area (#197) S-4; and St. Louis Area (#314) T-2f, S-4, and S-5 as listed in An Aid to Collecting Selected Council Shoulder Patches, 1997 Edition and OA issues:  Shawnee #51 S4 [S5a or S5b] or S8; Nampa-Tsi #216 S4, S6 [S6b] (75 th OA anniversary), S7, S9 [not listed], S10 (25th lodge anniversary), J3 (tl and tr varieties), and J4; and Dzie-Hauk Tonga #429 S17 as listed in Arapaho II and, if different, The Blue Book enclosed in brackets.

 

I also read very carefully the Needs, Wants, and Duplicates List’s that I receive.
